Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful holiday season. Though this time of year can be hectic, I cherish the time I get to spend preparing for Christmas with my children and husband. In recent years, we have adopted a new tradition in our household: choosing a unique color scheme for the our wrapping each year. This tradition started approximately five or six years ago, and so far our color schemes have included red & white, metallic, teal, kraft paper, and plaid. It’s fun to search the stores for wrapping paper that fit our chosen theme, and the coordinating papers gives a unified look under the tree!
Though the Christmas craziness may be over for my family, the holiday season is not over yet! New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. My husband and I usually spend New Year’s Eve watching the ball drop on television from the comfort of our home. My children, on the other hand, will be out and about attending and hosting parties! My daughter Paige is having a few friends over for New Year’s Eve. There isn’t much time to prepare for the party, so we turned to Pinterest for inspiration. I pulled together a few recipes for appetizers, desserts, and cocktails on the TU living Pinterest. If you are looking for any last minute ideas for your own party or just to enjoy while relaxing at home, take a look!
